Wolftank, SFC Energy cooperate; Greenko ZeroC explores hydrogen opportunities

SFC and Wolftank partnership will take customers further along the path to a future that is not only climate-neutral but emission-free.

Wolftank expands its partner network by cooperating with the German SFC Energy AG on climate-neutral emergency power supply by hydrogen fuel cells for critical infrastructure and hydrogen refuelling stations.

Both partners addressed applications in emergency power generators for critical infrastructures, including gas utilities, telecom infrastructure and hydrogen refuelling stations in Italy and Austria.

The replacement of the existing grid backup systems with hydrogen and EFOY H2Cabinet results in a potential of 10 MW at current target customers. In March 2022, both partners will install the first pilot project in Italy.

The combination of the innovative Wolftank Smart Cartridge, a special hydrogen tank for supplying fuel cell systems, and the EFOY H2Cabinet by SFC Energy as an emission-free grid backup system is designed to make emergency power supply climate-neutral.

The complete system consisting of energy generators and energy storage replaces the lead-acid batteries and diesel generators. Compared to lead batteries, hydrogen fuel cells by SFC Energy offer a much longer life span and are recyclable with a very high rate of up to 95%.

Technip Energies and Greenko ZeroC

Technip Energies and Greenko ZeroC Private Ltd have signed an MoU to explore Green Hydrogen project development opportunities across industries, including refining, petrochemicals, fertilizer, chemical and power plant sectors in India to accelerate Energy Transition in the country.

The MoU aims to facilitate active engagement between the teams of Technip Energies in India and Greenko to step up collaborative opportunities on a “Build-Own-Operate (BOO)” model. Greenko will be the BOO operator and owner of the asset. Technip Energies will support Engineering services, Integration and EP/EPC – for pilot and commercial scale Green Hydrogen and related projects in India to offer economically feasible solutions technology solutions to clients.

Both entities bring complementary skills and added value to this partnership – Technip Energies with its Hydrogen expertise, Integration capabilities, EPC project management skills and regional footprint, and Greenko with its technological know-how, expertise and assets in renewable energy, which span solar, wind and hydro.
